On this page, we have ongoing information on how to proceed in the transition to new bus cards. The work will take place gradually. The new bus cards already work to tap on the bus. This is part of the work on a new payment and ticketing system.

Now the new bus cards apply
From 19 May, the new blue bus cards are valid on board the bus. With the exception of those who travel with a Corporate Card, see the post below from 13 May.
If you have not had time to go up your trips on your old bus card, you can take the card to a staffed bus station or Reseinfo and we will help you.

Business travel - you need to have both bus passes with you for a period of time
From 26 May, the upgrade to the new payment system on board the buses has begun. This will be done gradually on all buses in the county. During this time, you need to bring both bus cards, the old and the new, for business trips. On the buses that have been updated, the new bus cards apply, and on those that have not been updated, the old company cards apply. The driver can inform you which card is valid on the specific bus.
Keep your old company card until we update the information here and in the app that all the buses are up to date. When the installation is complete, only the new bus cards will apply.

If you use business travel via the app or use the "send ticket" function in the Company Portal, you are not affected by this.

Reminder - Our webshop and My Bus Card service will be replaced
As we have previously announced, our webshop and My Bus Card will be replaced by the new My Pages service. With an account in My Pages, you can buy your trips, give away trips, move trips between bus cards and apps. There you can also see your remaining trips or days. If you register your new bus card in My Pages, you also secure your journeys or tickets.

The new bus cards cannot yet be loaded on board the bus in regional traffic
Now both the new apps and the new bus cards are up and running in Västerbotten. The next step in the ticketing and payment system will be to upgrade the payment system on board the buses. This work will begin on 19 May and will take place gradually around the county. This means that until then, no new bus cards (or gama) can be loaded with period or discount trips on board the bus. Once everything is replaced on board, it works again.
Of course, you can continue to buy single tickets on board or all tickets in our app during the system change.

Card swap tour in Västerbotten
In connection with the replacement of all our bus cards, we will go on a tour in Västerbotten to meet you travelers. In four days, we will make a stop at the bus stations/travel centers in the municipalities to be available for questions. If you have not yet replaced your card, we can help you with that.

Back to the longer activation and validity periods
New journeys on a new bus card and in the app mean longer activation and validity periods again, and now you will receive your newly purchased journeys on a new blue bus card.
This means that the longer activation and validity periods will apply again. The same as in the app with 180 days of activation from the date of purchase (and 365 days of validity from the first trip for those who travel on discounted tickets) applies to your new bus card.

On-board sales of period and discount tickets are paused
From today, 14 April, we pause the on-board sale of discount and period tickets in regional traffic. This does not apply to Ultra. You can read about the reason in the post below.

On-board sales will change temporarily in regional traffic
Until we have replaced the system on board the buses, we need to temporarily stop the possibility of loading period and discount cards on board regional traffic from 14 April.
The reason is the ongoing work on the new ticket system and we want to reduce the risk of having trips or days left in the old system when everything has been replaced on the bus.
When we have finished the update on board as well, you will be able to load your bus card on board again.
Of course, you can continue to buy single tickets on board or all tickets in our app during the system change.

Soon you will get a new bus card... if you haven't already received one!
We are in the process of updating our payment and ticketing system. As part of this, there will also be new bus cards.
What do you need to think about?
Start by raising your trips on your existing card. You have just over a month to do so. When you then visit a staffed bus station or Reseinfo (Umeå) and want to top up your card, you will receive the trips on a new card. You can also order a new bus card in our new online service My Pages, which you then fill up with journeys yourself.
Do you need a bus card?
No, do as many others do, have your trips in the app instead. Then you will not be affected by the card change.

See the number of trips/days or load the new card on board
At this time, it is not technically possible to see your remaining trips or days when you tap the new card on the bus. The driver cannot see it either. You can see it on My Pages, at Reseinfo or at a staffed bus station. If you have the trips in the app instead, you can see all that information there.
The new bus cards will be loaded again on My Pages, a staffed bus station or on Travel Info. They cannot even be charged on board the bus. When the system is replaced on board the buses later this spring, you can load the new cards on board.

Order a new bus card via My pages
While you are going up your trips on the old card, go in and order a new card via our new web service My pages on Tabussen.nu. Psst. You need to have foresight. It can take up to 10 days for the card to be delivered.
Then you are ready to top up the new card. You can find My pages via "Log in" in the top right corner of the web. The new card can be used in all four counties of Norrland.

Soon you will get a new bus card!
From 24 March, if you buy your trips at a bus station or a Travel Info office, you will receive a new blue bus card. The agents in Umeå will also soon start selling trips for the new cards. The new ones will replace the old ones and there will be new bus cards for both regional traffic and Ultra. They already work to blip on the bus. They have been used by our school students since the beginning of the year. See the pictures below.
