Free baggage
A carry-on bag (40x30x30 cm) or a suitcase, a pair of skis, a snowboard in a case, a stroller or a wheelchair/walker may be brought free of charge by a passenger. Luggage may be taken in the passenger compartment of the bus only to the size, weight and dimensions that the luggage racks of the bus allow. Otherwise, luggage must be stored in the luggage compartment. For safety reasons, the aisle of the bus must be kept free of luggage and other goods.
If goods are damaged in the luggage compartment or if they are stolen, the matter must be reported to your own insurance company. Baggage with flammable or explosive contents may not be taken on board.
Bicycle
Bicycles may be brought free of charge subject to space in the luggage compartment. Loading and unloading of bicycles only takes place on bus stations, not at smaller stops between them. When the journey includes a change of bus or there is no space, the bicycle can in certain cases be sent for a fee with Bussgods (shipping company). Bicycles that are taken into the luggage compartment must be well packaged to avoid being damaged or damaging other goods.
Bicycles cannot be taken on the express buses on the Norrland coast line 100 and city buses.
E-cigarettes
We do not allow the use of e-cigarettes on board our vehicles. E-cigarettes give off a scent that can can be bothersome for sensitive passengers and can easily be confused with a regular cigarette.
Unaccompanied children
Unaccompanied minors under the age of 7 pay a child/school youth ticket. Children must be able to fend for themselves throughout the journey, including any changes.
Dangerous goods
Dangerous goods are handled in accordance with current regulations for Bussgods (shipping company). Flammable and explosive baggage may not be carried.
Refreshments on board
It is allowed to bring and consume coffee, sweets and drinks on board. Drinks should be in packaging or mugs with lid. However, out of consideration for fellow travellers, it is not permitted to bring fried or grilled food, or food that can drip onto seats and interiors. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be consumed on board.
Kick-bike, electric scooter or foldable bike
Means of transport that are folded and portable and are less than 120 cm when folded can be taken on the bus free of charge, subject to availability. When you travel with buses without a level difference when boarding (low-entrance bus) in regional and local transport, you may store your foldable vehicle on the floor of the passenger compartment. Keep in mind that it must not take up a seat or be placed so that it blocks aisles or exits as this can prevent a quick evacuation of the bus. When travelling with buses that have steps when boarding (normal floor bus), your bike must be folded and stored it in the luggage compartment under the bus.
Guide dog
Guide dogs are allowed on all lines and always travel for free.
Wheelchair
The wheelchair may have the following maximum dimensions: 1,200 mm x 700 mm. Weight: 300 kg (including passenger). The wheelchair should have marked anchor points. Larger and heavier electric wheelchairs cannot be taken on the buses.
Wheelchairs are taken free of charge on the following lines:
• Line 12: Umeå – Skellefteå
• Line 20: Umeå – Luleå – Haparanda
• Line 45: Östersund – Gällivare
• Line 63: Dorotea – Umeå
• Line 100: Luleå – Piteå – Umeå
Pets
Pets such as dogs and cats travel with us for free. All animals must be kept on a leash or kept in an intended bag or cage and travel on the floor. Smaller animals can be held on laps but must not be placed on a seat.
Passengers with pets must board through the middle door, where available. Exceptions for guide dogs, which are usually trained to enter through the front door.
The pet may only be in the rear or upper part of the vehicle for the convenience of people who are allergic. Everyone can travel by public transport, so it can never be completely allergy-proof. Guide dogs and signal dogs travel with the passenger at any place in the vehicle. It is allowed to bring a maximum of two pets/traveler.
Anyone travelling with animals is responsible for their safety and risks being rejected or denied boarding if the pet is deemed to be disturbing to other passengers or staff. The guidelines for animals on the bus are the same in Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten and Västernorrland, however, there may be regional deviations on some lines.
Weapons
Weapons such as rifles, pistols, knives or other objects that can be perceived as weapons must be packaged while driving. When required in accordance with the provisions of the Firearms Act, the weapon must be divided and stored in the vehicle's luggage compartment. The bolt must be kept by the passenger and kept separate from the rest of the weapon.
Other luggage
Other normal luggage may be brought subject to space and at the regular freight rate.
