Take the opportunity to test the new monthly ticket in 30 days for half price between 1 July - 31 December.
"30 days half price" applies to all age categories and for unlimited trips within 30 days throughout Västerbotten. This new ticket is temporary and government-subsidized for the second half of 2026.
The ticket can be purchased from 1 July to 1 December in all our sales channels except on board the bus, and when purchasing, you choose which route your monthly ticket will be valid for. This will also show the discounted price. Our sales channels are the apps Tabussen.nu and Ultra -Umeå's public transport, My Pages, our Travel Info offices and agents in Umeå and all staffed bus stations in Västerbotten.
The monthly ticket needs to be activated within 30 days and works from 1 July to 31 December. You need to activate it no later than December 2 to be able to use all 30 days.
Terms and conditions for 30 days half price
- 30 days half price is a temporary 30-day period ticket that is 50% of the ticket price valid on 1 May 2026.
- The ticket can be purchased from July 1 to December 1.
- The activation time is 30 days. This means that the first trip needs to be made within 30 days from the date of purchase. If the first trip is not made within these days, the trips will lapse.
- The ticket is valid from July 1 and expires no later than December 31. The validity period expires at the end of the year.
- You need to activate the ticket no later than December 2 to be able to use all 30 days. If the ticket is activated later, the corresponding number of travel days will be lost.
- The monthly ticket is also valid for the Norrland trip with the same conditions.

The discount will apply to monthly tickets in regional and city traffic and to all age categories.
You then have more months to buy a new monthly ticket with a discount. You can buy one from July 1 through December 1, 2026. If you bought it before July 1 and haven't activated it yet, you can cancel your purchase.
We cannot make refunds on the 60, 90 and 120 day season tickets for Ultra when they are already activated.
It is this ticket that the state subsidizes.
You will automatically receive the discount when you buy your 30-day period ticket within the period 1 July – 1 December, regardless of whether you buy it in one of our apps (Ultra or Tabussen.nu), on My Pages or at one of our physical sales points (Travel Info, staffed bus stations, Ultra's agents).
This means that you can get the discount both if you use the app and bus card.

No, if you buy the discounted ticket on a route where Norrtåg also operates, you can, as usual, travel by both bus and train.

The discounted ticket has an activation period of 30 days as the support provided by the government is temporary and only applies to tickets used until December 31, 2026. Therefore, the activation time needs to be shortened during the campaign period.
All other tickets retain the regular activation time of 180 days.
With us, you can also buy period tickets where part or all of the route goes in Norrbotten, Jämtland or Västernorrland. Period tickets for routes that cross county borders (e.g. Skellefteå-Piteå) are discounted in the same way as tickets within Västerbotten.
