Show that you want to get on the bus
Wear reflecting gear and show that you want to travel with the bus when it approaches your stop.
As the days grow darker and the snow begins to fall in our beautiful Västerbotten, there are a few important things we’d like to remind you of.
Wear reflectors when you’re outdoors and make sure to clearly signal that you want to board the bus. Step forward from the shelter or stop sign and give a clear hand signal. If you have impaired vision, stand as close to the stop sign as possible.
Use the reflective spinner where available. If there isn’t one at your stop, you can contact your municipality to request that one be installed.
Bus stops are sometimes gathering places for more than just bus passengers, so make sure to show that you intend to board the arriving bus. It’s especially important to wear reflectors — and feel free to wave your phone’s flashlight to catch the driver’s attention.
