The discount is given when purchasing a period ticket in the Tabussen.nu app and only applies to regional traffic.
The discount does not apply to Ultra (Umeå’s city buses) or Skellefteå’s city buses.
The discount applies to purchases between two locations within Västerbotten. County tickets ("Länsbiljett") are also considered period tickets.
Standard activation and validity periods apply.

This time the discount does not apply to Ultra's tickets. In September we had a discount for Ultra's tickets, this time we want to promote regional traffic.
The discount code only works between January 1-14, 2026. You need to choose a period ticket in the app and enter the code right before payment. Make sure the upper- and lowercase is used correctly and there are no other unnecessary characters.
Yes, but you can only buy one ticket at a time. So for example - two tickets = two purchases. In the app you can have more than one ticket and you choose which one to use when travelling.
However, you need to be aware of the standard activation and validity periods. You need to activate, i.e. use the ticket for the first time, within 180 days from the day of purchase.
- Open your Tabussen.nu app.
- Choose the route/journey you want to buy your ticket for. The ticket is valid for your chosen route but it's not limited to a specific line or departure time.
- Click on any departure on this route (apart from train departures).
- Click on "Select ticket and age".
- Change ticket type from "Enkel" (single) to "Rabatt/Period" (punch/period).
- Change from "Rabatt" (punch) to "Period" och "Hele länet" (county ticket). If the route is longer than 67 km then only "Hela länet" is available.
- Choose the correct age category.
- Choose your payment method.
- Click on "Use discount code" och type in the code. The discounted amount is shown.
- Proceed to purchase.

Yes, you buy your ticket as usual and then choose "give away ticket" in the "Tickets" tab. Make sure the ticket is not activated, once activated it can no longer be given away.
It's not required to have an account but we strongly recommend registering with your e-mail address. Through registrering you secure your tickets that can then be moved to a different device, for example if your phone brakes down. The number of such transfers is limited.
Yes, if you choose a ticket to or from Umeå or Skellefteå then you can use the discount code. For example Umeå-Vännäs or Skellefteå-Bureå. However, the discount does not apply to tickets within Umeå or Skellefteå city area.
Yes, you choose your age category first, as usual. Then you enter the discount code and the discount amount is calculated based on your chosen age category. It's a double discount if you're under 26 or 65+.
Yes, our standard terms & conditions apply. Period tickets for a route where Norrtåg trains operate are valid on the train as well, regardless of whether they were bought with or without a discoutn.
